58cm/Large Commuter Cargobike / Dog-hauler – $1200!
Originally a 58cm Austro-Daimler road bike it’s now a nimble commuter-cargobike. Perfect for grocery runs (four paper bags of groceries fit perfectly), or for pedaling your pup around town. The lighter-weight and slimmer design isn’t ideal for hauling kiddos, but if you want to watch the wind in your dog’s ears this is the bike for you. This bike has a 700c rear wheel (with fender), rear rim brake, a 20″ front wheel (also has a fender) with a disc brake. Gearing is a 2×9 speed SRAM drivetrain. A nice upright riding position (Brooks Cambium saddle), and a lively ride feel. This has been my personal cargobike for years, but now it’s time to find it a new home.
Johnny Loco “Coupe Mount Blanc” (Medium) – $1000
Sometimes I come into possession of other cargobikes that I did not make. This is one such bargain! It’s a Johnny Loco cargobike. 24″ rear wheel with a 7-speed Shimano Nexus hub, a 20″ front wheel with a generator hub (no light though). A nice step-thru steel frame, an adaptable cargo area, roller brakes front and rear, and an integrated kickstand. I’m really impressed with the comfortable ride feel too! It’s basically a universal size, but a size “medium” by the books.
